Martin, originally from Ireland, has been living in Sydney’s Inner West for twenty years. He's photographed hundreds of children in schools and child care centres as well as many families. In particular he loves to photograph siblings.
Martin has strong links with local businesses and Marrickville Council having photographed citizenship ceremonies and other events for the last twenty years. While freelancing for The Irish Echo for 18 years he has enjoyed photographing a parade of artists from Sinead O’Connor to Dylan Moran.
Weddings and events are another string to his bow. One of the things he really likes about wedding photography is the feeling of being in the best position to watch a couple having so much fun throughout the day. It’s not even just the couple sometimes the friends and parents are up for it as much as the bride and groom! Of course it is a dressy occasion to celebrate and everyone is feeling good. On many occasions he has been lucky enough to be referred to other family members or friends. In fact he has photographed one bride at two of her weddings!
Martin always carries at least two cameras, flashes and a range of quality professional lenses. He is a creative, resourceful and experienced photographer with the ability to make the best use of the light, location and subject.
His easy going personality is a great asset to his photography and he is sucessful in making people feel comfortable being photographed on their special occasion.
